The Gladiator

He's kind of a super hero to me. I've not ever found a thing that scares him. He took one look at this big beautiful pond full of koi fish and said, "Yeah, no problem. I got this." He pretty much looks at everything that way.

I'm always a little bit amazed at how, if he doesn't know exactly how to do something, he just jumps in and figures it out as he goes. We closed the pond down today without any help and I definitely had the better job.:) As I watched him, I thought about all the ways he takes care of things quietly, with no one watching but me... Comfortable in his own skin, and unafraid of anything.

When we got married, we put a verse from the book of Ruth on our wedding invitations. It said this, "Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God."

That is still true today, some 30 years later. But I'm really glad he didn't ask me to get in that water!
