Leonardo da Vinci once said, "Human subtlety will never devise an invention more beautiful, more simple or more direct than does nature... because in her inventions nothing is lacking, and nothing is superfluous."
We've lost the art of subtlety of late, haven't we? I think it's maybe why I love working with such a tight depth of field in my macro work. I prefer to whisper my signature to the world at large, rather than shouting it. Because the intimate whispers spoken into my heart through the years have been far more meaningful to me.
